FAQ

Can I use your photo or recipe on my website or blog?

Thanks for asking!

Recipes – No, not at this time.  We do not allow republication of our post or recipe text without prior consent. If you have a specific inquiry about a recipe, please feel free to email us at Support(at)adventureblooms(dot)com.

Photos without recipes – Sure! Thank you for sharing! Please just credit the photos with two links, one leading back to the recipe and one that leads back to adventureblooms.com.

Do you use other people’s recipes on your blog?

Sharing meals and recipes is part of what makes cooking and eating so great! So yes, we will occasionally use others’ recipes in our blog. If we do make a recipe that comes from someone else, we will always credit them in the author section. Sometimes you don’t need to reinvent an old classic.

Why didn’t your recipe work for me?

We wish we could answer this question. Honestly, it could be a number of things: altitude (for the most part, we’re cooking anywhere from 5000-8000 feet above sea level), measuring technique, how your oven bakes or human error. We test recipes multiple times and never publish anything that we wouldn’t eat ourselves or be proud to serve our friends and family. Feel free to email us and we’ll try to help you figure it out!

Why aren’t you a vegetarian?

We aren’t vegetarian or vegan because animals have nutritional value and we believe there are ways to incorporate them that keep with our environmental and ethical values. Consuming animal products is not to be taken lightly, which is why we often incorporate vegetarian and vegan meals into our diet. We eat mostly plants and always strive to make the most environmentally-conscious choices regarding the animal products we purchase.

It is important to understand where our food comes from. We purchase our meats from local butchers and farmer’s markets—where you can actually talk with the farmer who raised the animal. Touring the farms that provide the eggs, chicken, milk and other meats, is a great way to begin appreciating where your food comes from. It is important for animals to be raised well, fed natural diets and provided ample space to roam freely—they are living beings too after all.
